Privacy Policy
PrivacyTemplate is the controller for this shop. Contact contact@privacytemplate.com. This page describes what we collect and why. It is not legal advice. Have counsel review it against the live checkout and email flows before you rely on it.
Seller
Seller identity (registered name, address, KVK, VAT) is not yet published on this site. Email contact@privacytemplate.com for those details until they appear here.
What we collect
To complete an order we collect the email address you give at checkout, the templates you bought, payment status, and the billing address Stripe collects. You do not need an account to buy. If you later request a magic link, we use that same email to show your downloads. The contact form collects the name, email, and message you submit.
For a free download we ask for an email address so we can send a time-limited download link. We also store the product you requested, when the request was made, optional source or campaign fields from the page URL, whether you separately opted in to marketing, the version of the consent text shown at that time, and whether a download was started from the link. We do not treat a download request as marketing consent.
Payments and processors
Card payments are processed by Stripe. No VAT is calculated in checkout because the seller uses the Dutch Small Businesses Scheme (KOR). We do not store full card numbers. Hosting is on Netlify. Product files, orders, free-download requests, optional marketing subscriptions, and the optional login session are stored in Supabase. Transactional email (order or download messages) and optional marketing confirmation messages are sent with Resend. Magic links are sent by email so you can reopen purchases without a password. Contact form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms. Bot checks on some forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics is loaded from Google Tag Manager.
Why we use the data
We use it to deliver files, prevent abuse, issue refunds, keep payment records, and answer support mail. The free download email is a message you asked for so you can retrieve the file; it is not a newsletter. Optional marketing email is sent only if you tick the separate consent box and then confirm that subscription. We do not sell personal data.
Free downloads and marketing
A free download starts after you submit a valid email. We send a transactional message with a short-lived link. Opening that link records a “download started” event. We cannot prove that the full file finished transferring to your device.
Marketing is optional. The consent checkbox is off unless you tick it. If you do, we store a pending subscription with the consent text version and send a separate confirmation email. You are only treated as subscribed after that confirmation. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link that works without signing in. Unsubscribed addresses are kept as a suppression record so we can avoid mailing them again unless you later opt in and confirm.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and to re-issue a download. Unused expired free-download requests are removed after about 30 days. Requests where a download was started are anonymized after about 90 days, while aggregate counts may remain for statistics. Active marketing subscriptions and the related consent record are kept while the subscription is active, and unsubscribed addresses are retained as suppression records. You may request access or deletion by emailing us. We may retain what the law requires even after a deletion request.
Analytics
Optional Google Analytics (measurement ID G-N15JGW2VFM) runs only after you click “Accept analytics.” Google Ireland Limited then receives page URLs, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and referral information so we can see which shop pages are used. We do not use it for ads. You can switch it off at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Currency, cart, and sign-in cookies are strictly necessary and do not wait for that choice.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, or restriction, or to withdraw marketing consent. EU residents may complain to a supervisory authority. Contact us first at the email above and we will help.
